R2-D2 is Padmé’s personal astromech droid. Brave and resourceful, he is almost exclusively mentioned in the saga together with fellow robot C-3PO, with whom he leads an adventurous life. His rich equipment gives the droid a tool box-like appearance, fundamental during spying missions.
